Using the SCP session

SCP is the standard protocol used to transfer files between your PC and FOX Board G20.

The utilities to use this protocol are available by default on Linux and MAC. On Win XP, Vista and Window 7 it is available for free the utility WinSCP.

File transfer from Windows PC

WinSCP is a Windows SCP client available for free on:

It has a very easy to use drag and drop interface to transfer file between your PC and the FOX Board G20 file systems. An integrated ASCII editor allows to edit the source files directly over the FOX as like as we could do with a local hard disk.

At startup you have to specify:

  • Host name: is the FOX Board G20 IP address. Read this article to find it
  • User name: use root
  • Password: use netusg20
  • File protocon: Select SCP

Leave all the other parameters at default values and save it then press the Login button to access.
